Member Spotlight: Bianca Taylor-Heard

This quote is one of Bianca Taylor-Heard’s favorite quotes, and when you meet her, you’ll understand why! Bianca is a “people person” who fully enjoys cultivating relationships, bringing people together, and making people feel welcomed. Bianca has been with CREW Tampa Bay for two years and serves as a Chair of the Membership Committee; a volunteer position she truly enjoys. She joined CREW in order to meet people, network, give back to her community, and spend time with wonderful people in the commercial real estate realm. Bianca learned early on that relationships are “key,” and she says, “You learn so much from the people you surround yourself with!” CREW Tampa Bay is the vessel to help facilitate such relationships.

Bianca is a Business Development Coordinator for Bay to Bay Properties, LLC, which is located in in Safety Harbor. It is a commercial contracting firm which specializes in the construction of fuel stations, car washes, and self-storage throughout the southeastern United States. Prior to joining Bay to Bay, Bianca gained valuable experience in marketing and sales within the franchising industry as well as the commercial real estate industry. Her career path led her to Bay to Bay because it is a growing company, and their continual growth is achieved by doing what is best for their clients. With Bianca’s strong skills in branding, building relationships, business development, and marketing, she knows this career path is precisely where she belongs. Bianca wants to make a difference in the commercial real estate industry, and she will not settle for just being “average!” It is apparent that Bianca’s and her company’s goals are paralleled as the leadership team at Bay to Bay continually asseverates, “Forget average. Be legendary!”

In her early years, Bianca lived in the Seattle area, but she attended high school in Chicago. Her family owned a number of Burger King® franchises which led them to relocating halfway across the country. After high school, Bianca moved to Dallas, Texas, to attend Southern Methodist University. There, she earned her Bachelor of Arts in Advertising and was a student athlete on SMU’s Track and Field team. Once she graduated, Bianca traveled quite extensively and had the opportunity to live in various countries such as Germany, Turkey, and Uruguay. She loves traveling and says that Germany was one of her favorite places to live due to the good food, excellent culture, and how very nice the people were.

Bianca has a 12-year-old daughter, and they enjoy spending time together having dinner, talking about their day, or just hanging out watching movies. Bianca’s love for the commercial real estate industry has piqued her daughter’s interest as she is setting her career goals and wants to study construction engineering when she goes to college.

Outside of work and family life, Bianca spends a lot of her time volunteering for various civic organizations. She currently serves on the board of a non-profit in St. Petersburg, and in addition to other organizations, she has devoted many hours mentoring in the Big Brothers Big Sisters® of America organization. Bianca is truly motivated by positive energy, open communications, one-on-one interactions, connecting with people, and cultivating strong relationships. She feels that these strong relationships are extremely helpful and positively essential because you never know where your path may lead you on life’s journey.
