“I always believed that one woman’s success can only help another woman’s success.”

The CREW Tampa Bay Member Spotlight for August shines its light on two phenomenally successful members of Tampa’s CVS Health team, Danni Gallagher and Isabel Vega. Danni and Isabel are strong, independent women who work well together and continue to facilitate success throughout their leadership roles at CVS Health.

Isabel is a Lead Director for the Enterprise in Architecture and Engineering division with CVS Health. She has been with the company for nearly 11 years. Isabel was raised in Key West and upon graduation from high school, she was unsure of which career path she wanted to pursue. In the spirit of successful women helping successful women, Isabel was honored with a college scholarship from the Women’s League in Key West. It changed her life! She attended Florida Keys Community College and became a legal secretary. She then moved to Tampa to attend USF to study education, and she finished her degree in Interior Design from FSU in Tallahassee. After graduating from college, Isabel worked for an architectural firm designing various retail projects including large financial institutions such as First Florida Bank, Wells Fargo, Citi Bank, and Fifth Third Bank. She transitioned from design into construction and project management within the commercial real estate realm. Her prior experience has helped enhance an already successful career at CVS Health. She loves all facets of her job and genuinely enjoys overseeing her projects from the design phase to the final product.

A fact that people may not know about Isabel is that she was a painfully shy little girl. She listened intently, but she rarely spoke, and she hid from everyone at social events. While in high school, she had to work extremely hard to gain confidence and overcome her shyness. Those who know Isabel would agree that she successfully overcame! Isabel has raised one son who is now 25 years old.

Danni is the Vice President of Planning, Designing, and Construction with CVS Health. After graduating with her degree in Architecture from the University at Buffalo, a flagship of the State University of New York (SUNY), Danni began her career designing in the retail vertical. As a VP for an architectural firm, she worked on various projects for clients such as Wal-Mart, Office Depot, and CVS Health. After spending time raising her son, Danni was hired as a Design Manager for Office Depot. Not long after, Danni joined CVS Health as a Construction Manager where her hard work and dedication allowed her to advance into the role she has today. Her career at CVS Health has spanned over nearly 15 years. Her son is now 18 years old, and she also has a daughter who is 15 years old.

In 2020, Danni was diagnosed with stage IV cancer. This past February, Danni shared her personal story during her presentation as the Featured Speaker at the CREW Network Winter Leadership Summit, where CREW Tampa Bay was the host city. Her fight against this horrible disease was proven successful with the great news of a clear scan at her most recent check-up. In the spirit of giving back, Danni became a volunteer advocate for others who are affected by cancer. She sits on the Patient and Family Advisory Committee (PFAC) at Moffitt Cancer Center; representing patients and their families to help improve the quality, safety, and overall patient experience. Danni was also recently voted onto the Board of The Straz Center for the Performing Arts in Tampa.
