In this month’s CREW Tampa Bay Spotlight series, we are featuring one of our Platinum Annual Sponsors, PBX-Change|Tampa Bay Fiber (“PBX-Change”), and two of its dynamic growth leaders: Rebekah Nault and Bill Heinz. Founded in 1998, PBX-Change has evolved into a leading-edge VOIP (Voice Over Internet Protocol) and ISP (Internet Service Provider) specializing in Voice and Cloud services. The organization has a strong mission to partner with businesses of all sizes providing enterprise-class services and helping their clients become more efficient, productive, and better educated as technology evolves. They accomplish this by streamlining Voice and Internet services, allowing clients the time to work on their business. After years of focusing on Voice technologies, and with the aftermath of Hurricane Irma, PBX-Change recognized a need for more reliable connectivity and re-introduced high-speed Internet with Tampa Bay Fiber in 2018. In early 2020, when COVID-19 forced many Florida residents into working and schooling from home, PBX-Change partnered with the Tampa Housing Authority to provide Internet services to mixed income residents. PBX-Change is a 2-time finalist for the Urban Excellence Awards for bringing Internet into under-served areas and was also honored with a Community Champion Award from the South Tampa Chamber of Commerce for their donation of Internet service to 202 apartments in downtown Tampa.
Introducing Rebekah Nault: Rebekah is a Business & Community Development Specialist with PBX-Change. The community relations representative role is very much a “strong suit” which truly aids in her success as an account manager. As Rebekah will tell you, and those who work beside her agree, her “super-power in the community is connecting and bringing people together.” Joining CREW Tampa Bay has allowed her to exercise that “super-power” at every event. She creates that strong bridge between community involvement and selling communication services. Rebekah has a passion for her career, technology, and helping make the region a better place to live, work and play. She is extremely proud to be an integral part of PBX-Change for the last 15 1/2 years; strongly involved in the firm’s transition from DSL to Voice to ISP. She has been instrumental in bringing the company to the next level of technology. Rebekah is a “go-getter” who makes things happen in her career and in her community! She is currently the Chairwoman of the Board for the South Tampa Chamber of Commerce, an Honorary Commander for the 6th ARW (Air Refueling Wing) at MacDill Air Force Base, a member of the STEM Committee for the Girl Scouts of West Central Florida, and she is an active volunteer with Metropolitan Ministries and Feeding Tampa Bay. Rebekah and PBX-Change were featured in the April Issue of Tampa Bay Business & Wealth magazine for their technology role in supporting The Lions Eye Institute for Transplant & Research.
Rebekah grew up in Panama City, Florida, and she is married to a former Marine. In her spare time, Rebekah enjoys reading, cooking, flower gardening, bird watching, and playing with her Belgian Malinois dogs. Rebekah loves the water and has recently developed a passion for fishing.
Introducing Bill Heinz: Bill is the VP Director of Sales for PBX-Change. Although instrumental in the collaboration and robust growth of the company, Bill says he enjoys “working in the background” and “being the engineer to bridge the gap between sales and technology.” Bill and Rebekah work on various sales and community service projects, and they tend to have the same ideas at the same time. They are a solid team, work extremely well together, and balance each other out.
