Annual Sponsor Spotlight: Ryan Companies

In this month’s CREW Tampa Bay Spotlight series, we are shining the light on Ryan Companies, and we want you to meet three of its amazing leaders within the industry. Meet Sheryl Frick, RPA. Sheryl is a Senior Real Estate Manager who has been with Ryan Companies’ Real Estate Division for nearly six years. She joined the Ryan team to help grow the Real Estate Division in the southeast and brought many years of real estate management skills and experience along with her when she came on board. She is a high-achieving, proven leader in commercial real estate, and she loves the full collaboration between divisions as well as the family atmosphere at Ryan Companies. Sheryl was raised in The Florida Keys and earned her bachelor’s degree from the University of Florida. She has one son (29), two horses and a mini donkey. Sheryl is a true leader who is involved in various volunteer organizations. With her love for horses and in the spirit of giving back, Sheryl was a long-time member of the Pasco Sheriff’s Mounted Posse; a non-profit volunteer unit engaged in community relations, crime prevention, search and rescue, and fundraising for Pasco Sheriff Office Charities.

Meet Linaea Floden, AIA, ACHA, NCARB, LEED AP BD+C. Linaea is the Regional Director of Architecture for the Southeast Region and has been with Ryan Companies since 2019. After a successful stint as a surgery coordinator, Linaea decided to pursue a totally different career in the field of Architecture and Design. She first earned her Bachelor of Sustainability, and in her mid-thirties, she graduated with her Master of Architecture from the University of South Florida’s School of Architecture & Community Design. With her background in healthcare, Linaea understands various processes and is uniquely equipped to handle strategic challenges within diverse markets. She is an organizational leader who enjoys volunteering and giving back to her community. Among other volunteer positions, Linaea is the Chair of Facilities Committee for Glazer Children’s Museum and a Volunteer Healthcare Architect for Engineering Ministries International. She has four children: one girl (23), and three boys (20, 17 and 15). Linaea’s daughter recently got engaged, and she is very much looking forward to planning a wedding in 2022.

Meet Dana Hamdan. Dana is a Real Estate Development Manager and has been a member of the Ryan Companies’ team since November 2021. Before joining Ryan Companies, she was with a global architecture, design, and planning firm for nearly a decade. She has worked on various high-profile, award-winning projects and is published. The integrated services, honesty and family-oriented work atmosphere is what attracted Dana to Ryan Companies. Her extensive knowledge and experience in Architecture and Design is quite useful within her role in the Real Estate Development division. Born and raised in Lebanon, Dana earned her Professional Bachelor of Architecture at American University of Beirut. She came to the United States to attend Rhode Island School of Design where she earned her Master of Arts in Adaptive Reuse. In 2021, Dana received her Commercial Real Estate Analysis & Investment Certificate from Massachusetts Institute of Technology School of Architecture and Planning. Dana is the mother of two young boys (2 and 6), and she truly enjoys helping to shape the future of our world, personally and professionally.

Although these three amazing women work in different divisions within Ryan Companies, they continually collaborate, work as a team, and support each other within their individual roles. They bring their extensive knowledge, experience, and mutual support to fellow members of CREW Tampa Bay.
